Preparations...

Well, it's still December (almost Jan.) and I am in the midst of prepping for my trip. I have my backpack, clothes and pretty much everything else I need. It's hard to believe that in less than 2 weeks I will be off for 6 months.

I leave from SFO for Charles De Gaulle in Paris on Jan. 12th land on the morning of the 13th. I will meet up with David somewhere in the airport and then we will head out to explore Paris for the first time. Neither of us have been there before so it should be interesting to see what happens. At the very least I expect to lose David somewhere in the night since he won't have a phone and I don't know what the fuck anyone is saying over there. Regardless, it'll be a great start to the trip.

The next day we are flying out to Dublin to stay with a 75 year old Episcopal priest somewhere in the Irish countryside. According to the itinerary David makes (why he made an official itinerary I'll never understand, but being organized can't hurt), we are spending the first few days in Dublin before heading out into day trips in the countryside. All in all, I expect a lot of good beer, shitty food, and mediocre women. Can't wait.

I fly into Prague on Jan 19th. and then my semester begins. I don't find out where I am living until then or who I am living with. All I know is that once I get there, everything will fall into place. I'll let you know how things turn out.
